Man in His 50s Dies in Suspected Murder in Weybridge
Police are probing a suspected murder after a man was found dead in Weybridge early this morning.
Emergency crews rushed to a home on Old Palace Road at around 12:30am on January 8. Paramedics battled to save the victim, identified only as Glen, but he was pronounced dead at the scene just after 1:40am.
Knife Attack Sparks Frightening Scene
A 59-year-old man has been arrested and taken into custody. The property remains sealed off as officers continue their investigation.
A shaken neighbour, who wished to stay anonymous, described the incident as a “frenzied knife attack.” The two men reportedly knew each other well and often went out drinking together.
“The paramedics who treated the man looked very shook up. It’s a bit close to home,” the neighbour said.
Police Confirm No Further Threat to Public
Police say they do not believe anyone else was involved and have assured the public there is no ongoing risk.
