11-Year-Old Missing on Isle of Wight Sparks Major Search

Police launched a frantic search this evening after an 11-year-old boy went missing in the Niton area of the Isle of Wight. The youngster had been missing for several hours, sparking concern among locals.

Massive Search Effort Underway

Officers, backed by members of the public, combed houses and garages around Niton in a desperate bid to find the boy. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police deployed multiple resources to the scene.

“A number of resources have been called to assist officers on the ground for the missing 11-year-old who was last seen at 5pm today,” a police spokesperson said.

A National Police Air Service helicopter joined the search from above, while volunteers from Wight Search and Rescue (SAR) scoured the village outskirts and nearby recreation ground.

Happy Ending as Boy Found Safe

At 10:30pm, police confirmed the boy was found safe and well. He has now been reunited with his family, bringing relief to the community after hours of tension.
