Man Fatally Stabbed Outside Peckham Barbershop in Broad Daylight
Police rushed to a shocking stabbing outside House of Ramish 2 barbers on Choumert Road, SE15 at around 3.15pm on Friday, 17 December. 27-year-old Jobari Gooden was found with fatal stab wounds and later died in hospital.
Attack Took Place in Busy Shopping Area
The stabbing happened in the middle of a bustling parade of shops, with dozens of shoppers and market-goers nearby. Detectives believe many witnessed the terrifying fight and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detectives Launch Appeal for Witnesses
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie said:
“My thoughts are with Jobari’s family. This attack happened in busy Peckham Rye in broad daylight. We know many people saw the knife and the fatal attack.
“We need those witnesses to come forward – it might be daunting, but your information could help bring Jobari’s killers to justice. Our officers will handle any tip-offs sensitively.”
Extra Police Patrols to Reassure Locals
Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Smith added:
“This brutal attack days before Christmas has shocked the community. We’ll have additional officers in the area to provide a visible presence and keep residents safe.”
