Masked Men Hijack Vehicle in Broad Daylight
Thames Valley Police are hunting for crooks involved in a brazen kidnap and high-value robbery on the streets of Oxford. Five victims—two men and three women—were captured while travelling from Oxford to London on the afternoon of November 4.
Masked offenders forced their way into the vehicle, stealing a luxury watch worth around $590,000 along with phones. They also coerced one victim into transferring a staggering $1.5 million worth of cryptocurrency out of their account.
Suspects Dump Victims and Police Launch Hitchcock-Style Hunt
The criminals dumped the victims roughly 30 minutes later in the Five Mile Drive area of Oxford before fleeing. Thames Valley Police are now appealing for witnesses and footage of three vehicles believed to be involved:
- Black BMW saloon
- Blue Hyundai Ioniq
- Silver Mercedes Benz Vito
Detective Sergeant Stuart McMaster urged anyone who saw suspicious activity near Yarnton Road, Sandy Lane, Five Mile Drive, Carey Close, Rotherfield Road, or Kirk Close between 1pm and 4pm on November 4 to come forward immediately.
