Deadly Smash Closes M2 Between Faversham and Maidstone

A large section of the M2 motorway in Kent remains shut between Faversham and Maidstone after a serious two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning. The crash, which happened around 7am, has claimed one life. Police expect the closure to last at least four to five hours as they carry out a full investigation.

Bad weather conditions are thought to have played a role in the deadly smash. Two ambulances were seen at the scene while Kent Police forensic teams combed the carriageway. Several drivers were left trapped within the closure following the crash.
