Firefighters Respond to Static Caravan Fire in Hartlip near Sittingbourne

At approximately 7:51 PM on Monday, 26th February 2024, firefighters were called to the scene of a static caravan fire in Matts Hill Road, Hartlip, near Sittingbourne. The incident drew a response from two fire engines along with partner agencies including UK Power Networks, Kent Police, and the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).

Upon arrival, crews discovered the static caravan engulfed in flames, particularly in the bedroom area. Wearing breathing apparatus for safety, firefighters swiftly took action, deploying a high-pressure hose reel jet and a covering jet to extinguish the fire.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries resulting from the incident. However, the cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.

The collaboration between fire services and partner agencies highlights the coordinated effort to address emergency situations promptly and effectively. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, with authorities working diligently to ascertain the factors that led to the blaze.
