At approximately 7:51 PM on Monday, 26th February 2024, firefighters were called to the scene of a static caravan fire in Matts Hill Road, Hartlip, near Sittingbourne. The incident drew a response from two fire engines along with partner agencies including UK Power Networks, Kent Police, and the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).
Upon arrival, crews discovered the static caravan engulfed in flames, particularly in the bedroom area. Wearing breathing apparatus for safety, firefighters swiftly took action, deploying a high-pressure hose reel jet and a covering jet to extinguish the fire.
