Police have cracked a swift case involving a stolen Jaguar nabbed in Bexley last year. The sleek motor was reported nicked in the early hours of December 4, 2022, but savvy tracking software helped cops recover it in under an hour.
Dashcam footage showed a “123” – giving police crucial evidence to track down the thief.
Thief Luke Carney: No Respect for Victims
Detective Sergeant Hayley Chilmaid slammed Carney as a “prolific criminal” with no shame. She said, “He is a person who clearly has no regard for the impact his offending will have on his victims and despite several previous warnings and chances offered by the courts seems completely unwilling to change his ways.”

Carney preys on hard-working locals, targeting cars and property to steal whatever he can. But this time, police successfully returned stolen vehicles to their rightful owners.
Detective Chilmaid added, “Residents and businesses in the local area will hopefully also be reassured that Carney is now serving a custodial sentence.”
