Drug Bust in Chatham: Cocaine, Cash, and Weapons Seized
On the afternoon of Friday 7 July 2023, plainclothes officers from the Proactive Targeting Team spotted a suspicious vehicle parked off Capstone Road, Chatham.
The driver, a 28-year-old man, was arrested on the spot. A search under the Misuse of Drugs Act uncovered around 15 street deals of cocaine and a haul of cash.
Second Arrest After Raid at Mills Terrace
Quick follow-up enquiries led officers to a nearby home in Mills Terrace. Inside, they found large quantities of powdered drugs and arrested a 47-year-old woman.
They also seized a deadly arsenal including an axe, knuckle duster, sword, and lock knife.
Both Suspects Released on Bail
Both suspects remain in police custody but have been released on bail pending further investigation.
