Tragic Crash in Crowborough: Young Man Dies After Car Hits Wall

Police are hunting for witnesses following a fatal single-vehicle crash in Crowborough on Saturday night (26 September).

A silver Ford Fiesta travelling east to west on the B2100 Rotherfield Road smashed into a wall at around 6.30pm. The driver, a 21-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two Passengers Hurt as Road Shut for Hours

  • One 21-year-old passenger suffered a leg injury and was rushed to hospital.
  • A 20-year-old passenger escaped with minor injuries.

The road was closed both ways for hours while emergency crews handled the aftermath.

Police Urge Witnesses and Dashcam Owners to Come Forward

“Tragically a young man has died in this collision and our thoughts are with his family and friends,” said PC Ian Foxton. “We want to hear from anyone who saw the Ford Fiesta before the crash or has dashcam or CCTV footage in the area.”

“We’re also looking for the occupants of a dark-coloured Land Rover seen nearby just before the collision. They could hold vital information.”
