Shoreham Air Show Pilot Pleads Not Guilty to Manslaughter
Andy Hill, the pilot behind the tragic Hawker Hunter jet crash at the Shoreham Air Show in 2015, appeared at Westminster Magistrates today. The 54-year-old from Buntingford, Hertfordshire, faces manslaughter charges after 11 people died when the jet ploughed into the busy A27.
Denies All Charges, Released on Bail
Hill pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and also denies endangering an aircraft under Article 137 of the Air Navigation Order 2009. He has been released on bail and is due back at the Old Bailey on May 17.
Fatal Crash Linked to Pilot Error on Stunt
The tragedy unfolded when Hill misjudged a stunt during the display, sending the jet careering off course and crashing onto the busy road. The horrific accident claimed 11 lives and shocked the nation.
