Man Charged with Murder of Fiona Holm and Naomi Hunte

Detectives are urgently appealing for info after 48-year-old Fiona Holm vanished from Catford. Fiona was last spotted on the evening of Tuesday, June 20, on Verdant Lane. Now, a man has been charged with her murder – and that of Naomi Hunte.

Investigation Turns to Murder Probe

Initially, Fiona’s disappearance sparked a missing person search, hoping for her safe return. Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, leading the inquiry, offered condolences to the families of Fiona and Naomi. She vowed ongoing support as the case unfolds.

Community Help Crucial

Known and well-liked in Lewisham and Blackheath, Fiona’s last movements before June 20 remain key. Police want anyone who saw or heard from her to come forward – no detail is too small. The public’s help could crack the case.

Searches Underway as Court Case Looms

On July 11, the probe switched to the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command. DCI Blackburn says she’s limited on details due to legal reasons. Meanwhile, searches continue at various Catford locations, including properties and open land, hoping to find Fiona’s body.

A 65-year-old man who knew both Fiona and Naomi is charged with their murders. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court and is now remanded in custody. His next court date is July 18 at the Central Criminal Court.
