Emergency Services Rush to Royal Victoria Dock Bridge as Man Goes into Water

Emergency crews swarmed the south side of Royal Victoria Dock Bridge, Britannia Village, Docklands this afternoon following a dramatic incident.

Man Enters Water Amid Jump Threat

At around 3pm, police were called after reports of a man threatening to jump from the bridge. The Met Police quickly cordoned off part of the south riverbank to manage the situation.

A Met Police spokesman said: “We were called to a man threatening to jump. We remain at the scene to ensure his safety. Paramedics and other emergency teams have also been deployed.”

Desperate Rescue Attempts and Ongoing Search

Despite frantic efforts, the man entered the water. Two courageous members of the public jumped in to help but were unable to reach him.

Emergency water rescue teams and police launched a thorough search of the river and nearby surroundings. Unfortunately, the man remains missing.

Update: The search continues as emergency services work against the clock to find the missing man.
