Chaos erupted in Stoneleigh, near Epsom, Surrey, after a massive blaze broke out just after 7pm on Saturday. The fire started when a roof caught alight and quickly spread to six properties along the street.
Fire Rips Through Roof and First Floor
The flames rapidly engulfed the roof and the first floor, leaping to neighbouring homes. Smoke and fire spread swiftly, forcing residents to evacuate their homes amid the growing inferno.
Massive Fire Response Effort Underway
Fire crews from Banstead and Leatherhead arrived with an aerial ladder platform. Additional support came from London Fire Brigade teams from Sutton, Surbiton, New Malden, and Wallington. They battled the fierce blaze at Rembrandt Court in Stoneleigh, working to contain the damage and protect lives.
