A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a hit-and-run incident in Weymouth.

Dorset Police received a report at 8:26 PM on Tuesday, July 16, of a collision involving a car and two pedestrians on Abbotsbury Road, near the junction with Cromwell Road.

Further investigative work led to the arrest of a 59-year-old man from Weymouth on suspicion of attempted murder.

The Old Bailey has been jailed for murder" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpil-monitor-id="38914">police have urged anyone with information about the incident or who may have witnessed the hit-and-run to come forward.
