An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with the murder of Michelle Sadio in Harlesden last month. The Metropolitan Police announced today that Tahjin Sommersal, from Feltham, was charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder on Saturday.
Details of the Case
Michelle Sadio, 44, was fatally shot on 14 December 2024 outside a church in Harlesden following a wake. Two other men were injured in the incident, one critically.
Sommersal appeared before magistrates on Monday and is due to make his first appearance at the Old Bailey this afternoon.
Delayed Announcement
The Metropolitan Police acknowledged the delay in releasing the information. A spokesperson stated:
“There were exceptional reasons why it was not possible to publish the details of the charge before now.”
No further clarification has been provided about the nature of these reasons, but the police have confirmed that their investigation is ongoing.
