Man Held After Shocking Woolwich Stabbing
Police swooped on Prospect Vale, Woolwich at 4:31pm last Friday following reports of a stabbing. A man in his 30s was arrested on the spot on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.
Victim Left With Life-Changing Injuries
The victim, a woman, was found with a stab wound and a fracture. Paramedics treated her at the scene before rushing her to hospital. Authorities have confirmed her injuries are life-changing.
Police Say Stabbing Was Isolated Incident
Officers revealed the attacker and victim knew each other. There are no other suspects on the loose. Police are treating the attack as a one-off while investigations continue.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“Officers and the London Ambulance Service were called at 16:31hrs on Friday, 20 March to reports of a stabbing at a residential address on Prospect Vale, Woolwich. A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.
A woman was treated by paramedics for a stab wound and fracture before being taken to hospital. Her injuries have been confirmed as life-changing. There are no suspects outstanding and police are treating this as an isolated incident. It is believed that victim and suspect are known to each other. Enquiries are ongoing.
