18-Year-Old Charged Over Harlesden Murder of Michelle Sadio

Tahjin Sommersal in Court After Fatal Shooting

An 18-year-old man from Feltham, Tahjin Sommersal, has been charged with the murder of Michelle Sadio, 44, following a shocking shooting outside a Harlesden church. The Met today confirmed Sommersal faces one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder for the December 14 attack.

Michelle was gunned down after a wake, with two other men seriously injured—one critically. Sommersal appeared before magistrates on Monday and is set for his first Old Bailey hearing this afternoon.

Police Delayed Charge Announcement

The Metropolitan Police admitted there was a delay in announcing the charges.

“There were exceptional reasons why it was not possible to publish the details of the charge before now,” a spokesperson said.

The cops gave no further details but assured the investigation is ongoing.

The Met is urging anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can call police on 101 quoting reference CAD 7137/14Dec. Alternatively, tips can be given anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
