A 56-year-old man from Icklingham, Suffolk, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for a series of sexual offences against children committed between 1999 and 2003.
Richard Taylor, of West Street, Icklingham, was found guilty of 16 charges, including rape, indecent assault, and gross indecency with a child, following a nine-day trial at Ipswich Crown Court. He was sentenced on Friday, 20 September 2024.
She also highlighted the emotional toll on the victims, noting that Taylor’s not guilty plea forced them to relive their traumatic experiences during the trial. The sentence, she stated, would provide some closure and justice for the victims and their families.
