A vile attacker who trapped a woman in a train toilet and sexually assaulted her before going after a teenager minutes later has been slammed with a six-year jail sentence. Daniel Odubanjo, 27, from Clapham, was handed the punishment at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday, 12 January, after a thorough British Transport Police (BTP) probe.
Horrific Assaults on Train
Odubanjo was found guilty of false imprisonment and two counts of sexual assault following a tense trial. The sickening attacks unfolded on Network Rail property, leaving the local community horrified.
Harsh Restrictions Imposed
Besides his six years behind bars, Odubanjo faces a victim surcharge. He’s slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that bans him from being under the influence of drugs or alcohol on public transport, at stations, or anywhere on Network Rail land.
Police Applaud ‘Swift Justice’
“The swift work by the British Transport Police has brought justice for the victims,” said a BTP spokesperson.
