Lorry Hits Man in Greenock – Driver Flees Scene

A 38-year-old man was hit by a Mercedes Artic lorry on Inverkip Road, Greenock, at around 6.35pm on Friday, 4 November 2022. The man suffered a leg injury and was rushed to Inverclyde Hospital.

Hit-and-Run Lorry Speeds Off Towards Port 1

Shockingly, the lorry did not stop after the collision. It drove off heading towards Port 1. Police have launched a hunt to find the driver.

Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “I am appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact us. We are conducting inquiries to locate the driver of the lorry, who failed to stop. I would ask any motorists with dash cams who were in and around that area to check the footage as it may have captured images of the lorry which could assist in our investigation.”
