Teen Sentenced to Life for Brutal 14-Second Murder of 14-Year-Old Jaden Moodie

A teenager has been locked up for the savage murder of 14-year-old Jaden Moodie in east London. Jaden was deliberately hunted down, hit by a car, and stabbed repeatedly in a shocking 14-second attack.

Jaden Targeted and Killed in Leyton

Ayoub Majdouline, 19, from Wembley, was handed life imprisonment at the Old Bailey today. He must serve at least 21 years behind bars.

The court found him guilty of murder and possession of an offensive weapon on 11 December after a gripping trial.

Jaden was riding his moped along Bickley Road, Leyton, around 6.30pm on 8 January when he was rammed head-on by a black Mercedes. The crash was no accident – Majdouline and his gang were out searching for rivals.

Jaden was hurled onto the car bonnet, losing his helmet. The vehicle reversed a few feet before four masked men jumped out. Three of them, including Majdouline, stabbed Jaden nine times in under seven seconds while he lay helpless on the ground.

The attackers sped off, leaving Jaden to die in a pool of blood. Paramedics arrived but he was pronounced dead at 7:09pm.

Evidence and Hunt That Nailed the Killer

  • The stolen Mercedes was found with front-end damage dumped nearby just five minutes after the attack.
  • CCTV caught the suspects walking away calmly.
  • Blood-stained knives and yellow rubber gloves linked to Majdouline were recovered from drains near the crime scene.
  • DNA evidence on the weapons and clothing sealed Majdouline’s fate.
  • Burnt clothing matching Majdouline’s was found in a churchyard.
  • Majdouline was filmed on CCTV shortly after the killing, still wearing parts of his murder outfit.

After being arrested on 19 January, he refused to comment during police interviews.

Family Heartbreak and Police Vow Justice

“Jaden was a loving, caring boy with a passion for bikes and cars,” said his mother Jada. “He wanted to be a mechanic, was obsessed with Top Gear, and even tried starting his own clothing line.

“He was full of empathy — always helping the homeless. How do I live without him? I feel shattered.”

Detective Inspector Dave Hillier condemned Majdouline’s “callous, remorseless” attack and praised Jaden’s family for their strength through the trial.

“This gang had no regard for life. They planned to cause harm and executed a brutal, frenzied stabbing. We’re still hunting those involved and urge anyone with information to come forward.”

Detective Chief Superintendent Richard Tucker called the murder “heartbreaking” and urged the community to help stop youth violence.

“Jaden was a child lost to knife crime – a tragedy that must never happen again. The Met will continue to crack down on gangs and work with the public to make London safer.”

The Manhunt Goes On

Two other men arrested over the killing remain released under investigation as officers continue their probe.
