Police Speak Out Against Knife Crime
“These sentences bring a conclusion to a harrowing case,” said Detective Chief Inspector Dejan Avramovic. “I hope that the fact his killers have been brought to justice and will serve lengthy prison terms offers some closure for Rafaqit’s family.”
“Thames Valley Police will not tolerate knife crime in Slough or across the Thames Valley. We will continue to target everyone carrying knives that threaten our communities.”
Superintendent Lee Barnham added: “We have taken a robust approach to weapon possession in Slough, dedicating more officers to hunt those carrying knives. Our message is clear – if you carry or use weapons, you will be stopped, arrested, and likely sent to prison.”
“We urge the public to come forward with any information about knife crime. Together, we can stamp out violence in our town.”
