Teen Burglar Duo Caged for Raiding Homes Across Totton and New Forest
Two 15-year-old boys from Totton have each been locked up for two years in a young offenders institution after a spree of burglaries rocked the local area.
Burglar Blitz Across Hampshire
At Southampton Crown Court, one teen confessed to 12 burglaries and three attempts, while his partner admitted 11 burglaries and two attempts. Their crime wave targeted properties across Totton and the New Forest between January and May.
Record of Crime Beyond Burglary
Courts also took into account 14 additional offences for one boy and 17 for the other, piling the pressure on the teenage offenders. They faced sentencing on 17 August at Southampton Crown Court.
Police Praise Team’s Hard-Hitting Work
Chief Inspector Rob Mitchell, New Forest District Commander, said: “These offences caused major concern to residents in Totton and a number of other areas. Thanks to the excellent work of the Operation Hawk team and local neighbourhood officers, the boys responsible have been brought to justice.”
He added: “This shows how determined we are to tackle a range of crimes that impact on local communities.”
