Two Police Officers Attacked in Post-Match Chaos on Brighton’s West Street
Police are hunting for witnesses after two officers were assaulted in Brighton late on Wednesday, 7 July. The scuffle broke out around 11.45pm as officers responded to reports of a massive crowd — over 100 strong — celebrating England’s Euro 2020 clash with Denmark.
Bottle Thrown Amid Crowds After England Match
According to police, a man climbed onto a balcony before being taken away by officers. As they escorted him, someone from the crowd hurled a bottle, hitting one officer in the back and the other in the face.
