Millions of Employers Set for £9 Billion Job Retention Bonus

A brand new £9 billion Job Retention Bonus is here to reward employers who kept furloughed staff on the payroll. The bonus works hand-in-hand with the fresh Job Support Scheme, offering up to 60% of average wages for workers retained until February 2021.

How Much Could You Get?

The £1,000 bonus covers around 20% of wages for the average furloughed worker. But for lower-paid staff, employers could claim back as much as 40% of their wages for the three months up to the end of January 2021.
