Cobham Murder Mystery: Police Hunt Crucial Witnesses and Classic Car Driver
Exactly one month after 20-year-old Quehy Saunders was fatally attacked at Cobham Services petrol station, Surrey Police are urgently appealing for five key witnesses to come forward. The force has released CCTV images showing four individuals who made purchases inside the store between 3 and 3.30pm on Monday, 26 June.
Classic Car Driver Behind the Wheel?
Police are also desperate to trace the driver of a rare green Model A Ford seen on the petrol station forecourt at the time. Despite reaching out to classic car clubs and local events, the driver remains unidentified.
Detectives Plead for Witness Help
Senior detective Jo Hayes said: “Exactly one month ago today, a young man was brutally attacked at Cobham Services. Two people have been charged with Quehy’s murder, but we need to speak to five witnesses to understand exactly what happened.”
She added: “These individuals are not suspects – they could have seen or heard something important. Cobham Services sits on one of the UK’s busiest roads, so these people could be from anywhere.”
