Shocking Theft: Two Women Target 92-Year-Old in Cherryfield Drive Iceland
Two women brazenly followed a 92-year-old shopper into the Iceland store on Cherryfield Drive just before noon. While one distracted the elderly victim, the other swiftly stole her purse from her handbag.
CCTV Footage Released as Police Hunt Duo
Detectives have launched an intense investigation, poring over CCTV footage and gathering witness statements. They’ve now released images of the two women believed to be connected to the theft, urging the public for help.
Police Plead for Information
“This was very distressing for the victim and to target a vulnerable person is despicable,” said Community Policing Inspector Andrew Robinson. “We want to catch the culprits so no one else becomes victim to theft.”
“If you saw two women acting suspiciously in the area at this time or witnessed what happened and haven’t spoken to us yet, please get in touch immediately.”
“We are also appealing to the two women shown in the images, or anyone who recognises them, to come forward. They could hold vital information for our ongoing enquiries.”
