Teen Dies After Stabbed in Beckenham Place Park Horror
A 19-year-old man tragically died in hospital after turning up with stab wounds to his neck just before 5am on Saturday, 16 July.
Police say the victim was attacked while sitting in a parked car in Beckenham Place Park around 4.40am. Despite being rushed to a south London hospital, he could not be saved.
Police Hunt for Answers and Next of Kin
The victim’s next of kin are still being traced as detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command launch a full investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood said: “My thoughts are with the young man’s friends and family at this incredibly difficult time. We are working around the clock to find out what happened.”
Police Appeal for Dashcam and Doorbell Footage
Officers believe the attack may have been caught on nearby doorbell or dashcams. Residents of Beckenham Hill Road and surrounding streets have been urged to check their cameras for clues.
“We want to hear from anyone who was in the park at the time or has footage of suspicious people or vehicles,” said DCI Wood. “It’s vital we get answers for this young man.”
