Patriot Platform has announced what it calls the next phase of its campaign while founder Danny Tommo remains remanded in custody ahead of criminal proceedings.

The group said its new “Stage Two” programme would run for 18 months and focus on recruitment, research, documentation and political campaigning over immigration, border control and government policy.

In statements circulated by the organisation, supporters said the movement would continue operating without Tommo and insisted its activities were not dependent on its founder.

Patriot Platform said it intended to investigate issues it believes politicians have failed to address and publish evidence where it considers there are grounds for greater scrutiny.

The group also explicitly said it was not calling for violence or civil conflict, describing its stated aims as tighter border controls, law enforcement and political accountability.

Claims by supporters that the organisation has significantly increased its membership since Tommo was detained have not been independently verified.

Danny Tommo remains remanded

Tommo, whose real name is Daniel Thomas, is facing criminal proceedings following an incident in the English Channel on September 22.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said Thomas, 37, was charged with criminal damage and a separate offence under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act relating to an alleged failure to disclose a phone PIN. Police said the criminal damage charge followed an allegation that a boat was damaged while an emergency responder was on board.

Thomas has pleaded not guilty to the charges arising from the Channel incident and was refused bail at Portsmouth Crown Court. A provisional trial date of March 1, 2027 has been set.

The Crown Prosecution Service has stressed that criminal proceedings are active and that Thomas is entitled to a fair trial.

He is also involved in separate proceedings relating to alleged incidents at the Western Jet Foil migrant processing site in Dover.

Group says campaign will continue

Patriot Platform’s latest announcement presents its next phase as an attempt to move beyond demonstrations towards a more structured campaign involving research and political pressure.

The organisation said supporters would continue examining immigration and border policy and challenging politicians over decisions with which they disagree.

Statements accompanying the launch included strong criticism of successive governments’ handling of Channel crossings, but claims about political motives behind Tommo’s prosecution remain the views of his supporters and have not been established by the courts.

Thomas has not been convicted of the criminal damage or phone disclosure charges.
