Isle of Wight PC Greg Blais Snatches Top National Police Award
PC Greg Blais from the Isle of Wight has clinched the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) Response Officer of the Year 2025 award. A standout member of the Island’s District Policing Team, Blais was honoured for his stellar service and dedication to his community and colleagues.
Top Brass Praise ‘Exemplary’ Policing
Acting Chief Constable Matt Boyle, NPCC Response Policing Lead, showered praise on Blais, calling him the “epitome of policing at its best.” Boyle highlighted Greg’s “dedication, professionalism, and unwavering support” as the benchmark officers should aspire to. This prestigious award is given to officers showing outstanding commitment to community safety and professional policing.
Force Chief: ‘Well-Deserved’ Recognition
Chief Constable Alexis Boon of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary called Blais “a credit to the force.” She added, “His dedication and commitment reflect our core values – putting victims first, relentlessly pursuing criminals, and delivering top-notch local policing.” Boon insisted the award was “well and truly deserved.”
Island Superintendent Hails ‘Extraordinary Passion’
Superintendent Rob Mitchell of the Isle of Wight described Blais as “a highly regarded member of our response team” with “extraordinary passion for policing.” He praised Greg’s tireless efforts to keep island communities safe and his strong support for both colleagues and residents.
“We are lucky to have him,” Mitchell said.
