Brutal Attack Outside MyBar

Dorset Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in his 40s outside MyBar on Charminster Road, Bournemouth. The tragedy unfolded at around 3am on Monday 6 April 2026, after officers received reports of an assault.

Victim Pronounced Dead at the Scene

The victim, from Christchurch, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Three Arrested as Police Hunt Witnesses

Following rapid inquiries, detectives arrested three men on suspicion of murder: two from Bournemouth aged 37 and 46, and a 34-year-old from Poole. Dorset Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area to come forward.

“Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly died and a detailed investigation is underway to establish what happened,” said Detective Chief Inspector Nicky Jenkins of Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team. “An extensive cordon has been put in place and I would like to thank the public for their understanding while vital work at the scene is carried out.” “We know there were a number of people in the area at the time who may have witnessed what happened and we would ask them to please get in touch. Anyone with dashcam footage is urged to check their recordings.” “The public will see increased police presence in the area over the coming days. Please speak to an officer if you have any information or concerns.”
