Man Stabbed on Rye Lane in Early Morning Attack
Police rushed to Rye Lane, SE15, at around 5.15am on Sunday, 15 September, after reports that a man had been stabbed. Officers found the victim collapsed in the street and immediately performed emergency CPR before the London Ambulance Service arrived.
Victim in Hospital – Condition Not Life-Threatening
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Thankfully, his condition is not believed to be life-threatening. No arrests have been made yet as police continue their investigation into the shocking attack.
Road Closures Lifted but Crime Scene Remains
Emergency services put temporary road closures in place while treating the victim, but these have now been lifted. However, a crime scene remains at Rye Lane as detectives piece together what happened.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called at approximately 05:15hrs on Sunday, 15 September to reports of a man stabbed in Rye Lane, SE15. Officers found the man collapsed in the street and performed CPR until the London Ambulance Service arrived. The man was taken to hospital; his condition is not life-threatening. No arrests have been made, and enquiries continue. Road closures were put in place but have now been lifted. A crime scene remains in place.”
