Police have launched a murder investigation after a man died following a savage assault in Burley in Wharfedale.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was found with a stab wound on Main Street near Iron Row at 9.56am on Sunday. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he died this afternoon.
Suspect Re-Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing
A 30-year-old man arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted murder has now been re-arrested on suspicion of murder following the victim’s death. Additionally, two 23-year-old women remain in custody over conspiracy to murder.
Officers Seek Eyewitnesses to Isolated Attack
Specialist officers are supporting the victim’s family as they probe what is feared to be a targeted attack. Police urgently want anyone who saw suspicious activity around Main Street and Iron Row on Sunday morning to come forward.
