Thieves Swipe Iconic Red Cross Truck in Northampton
Red Cross volunteers in Northampton are left stunned after their clearly marked emergency response truck was stolen overnight. “It’s hard to understand why anyone would target this vehicle,” said a volunteer.
Disappeared Without a Trace
The truck, bright with Red Cross logos and bearing registration LF63 ORC, vanished from Moulton Park between Thursday night and Friday morning. It was the only Red Cross vehicle in Northamptonshire, vital for rushing to emergency scenes like house fires.
Community Efforts Hit Hard
“We volunteer because we want to help our community. That’s what matters most,”
said a spokesperson. “Now, because of someone’s selfish act, we can’t support those in urgent need.”
Police Appeal for Help
Northamptonshire Police urge anyone with information to call 101 or tweet @NorthantsChief. The community is urged to keep an eye out for the stolen vehicle and help bring it back to the people who need it most.
