Thieves Target Elderly Duo in Busy Waitrose Spree
Two pensioners in their 80s fell victim to brazen pickpockets in the heart of town last Thursday morning. The pair had their bank cards stolen in separate incidents at the Waitrose on the High Street between 10:30 and 11:50am.
Escalator Push and Parking Meter Distraction
The man was shoved on an escalator but thankfully escaped injury. However, his stolen bank card was later used to withdraw a whopping £2,000. Meanwhile, the woman was duped while paying at a parking meter. A crafty thief distracted her, snatched her cards, and drained hundreds more from her accounts.
