Gloucestershire police are hunting witnesses after a nasty road rage showdown near the M5 on Tuesday, September 19. The drama unfolded around 5pm and involved a woman driving a black 4×4 and occupants of a silver Ford Mondeo.
Ford Mondeo Driver Brandishes Knife After Shocking Brake
The trouble started when the woman left the motorway at junction 12 and headed along the B4008 from Stonehouse towards Bath Road. Out of nowhere, the silver Ford Mondeo in front slammed on its brakes, forcing her to stop abruptly.
The woman honked her horn in response — sparking fury. The Mondeo’s occupants jumped out, and the driver, a white man in his 30s, shouted abuse while waving a knife.
Heated Confrontation Ends, But Suspicious Tailing Follows
After a tense exchange, both parties got back in their cars and drove off. But the Mondeo followed the woman as she headed towards Waterwells Drive in Gloucester, before eventually speeding away.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers describe the Mondeo driver as about 5ft 8in, stocky and bald with a local accent. Two others were with him: a similarly aged slim white man with short dark hair, and a woman.
