Just after midnight on Friday 11 May, Kent Police on patrol in Maidstone grew suspicious of a car cruising along Wat Tyler Way. Quick checks revealed it was a Vauxhall Vectra reported stolen during a burglary on Kimberley Road, Gillingham.
Stinger Used to Stop Fleeing Vehicle
The driver ignored police commands to stop, sparking a high-speed pursuit. The chase ended safely on Royal Engineers Way after officers deployed a stinger device, popping the Vectra’s tyres and forcing it to a halt.
Arrests Made, Investigation Ongoing
He remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
