Car Blaze Sparks Chaos on M20 Between Junction 2 and 3
Kent Fire and Rescue Service raced to a car fire on the M20 coastbound earlier today. The flames broke out between Junction 2 and Junction 3, causing brief traffic mayhem.
Fire Quickly Brought Under Control
The blaze was doused swiftly, with firefighters gaining control by 12:31 PM. Luckily, no injuries have been reported.
A Kent Fire spokesperson said, “We responded swiftly to the car fire on the M20 and were able to extinguish the flames quickly. Our priority is always the safety of the public and ensuring that incidents like these are handled efficiently.”
Traffic Disrupted but Now Back to Normal
The fire led to temporary hold-ups as emergency crews tackled the scene. Fortunately, the motorway has since reopened and traffic is flowing normally.
