Ramsgate Brawl Ends in Hospital and Harsh Charges
Kent Police rushed to a late-night fight at a fast-food joint on King Street shortly after 2am on Saturday, 25 March 2023.
Earlier that evening, trouble had already flared up in the Harbour Street area, adding fuel to the fiery night.
Four Ramsgate Men Arrested – Two Hospitalised
Four men from Ramsgate were detained the same evening. Two needed hospital treatment but were later released into custody.
Serious Charges Laid – Affray, GBH and Offensive Weapons
- Finley Goldsmith, 19, of Park Road: charged with affray and grievous bodily harm.
- Samuel Giles, 21, of Bradley Road: charged with affray, grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon.
- Alfie Mason, 19, of Queensgate Road: charged with affray and grievous bodily harm.
- Jack Bamford, 21, no fixed address: charged with possession of an offensive weapon, grievous bodily harm, and affray.
Bamford Faces Extra Charges Over Separate Taxi Attack
Jack Bamford has also been hit with charges of robbery, grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of a knife in a public place. These relate to a shocking taxi driver assault on Margate Road, Ramsgate, on Friday 24 March.
All four men are now remanded in custody and set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 March 2023.
