Three Children Attacked in Islip Home – One Girl Dies
Thames Valley Police were called to a grim scene on Middle Street, Islip, Tuesday morning, 21 October 2025. At around 11:15am, officers found a nine-year-old girl critically injured after an assault at a residential property.
Tragically, the young girl was pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency efforts. Two other children—a boy and a girl—were also hurt but have since been discharged from hospital.
Cause of Death Unknown as Probe Intensifies
A post-mortem has taken place, but the exact cause of death remains unclear pending further tests. Police say they’re determined to get to the bottom of this heartbreaking case.

49-Year-Old Woman Hospitalised Under Police Guard
Detective Inspector Amy Fox leading the investigation revealed a 49-year-old Oxfordshire woman is hospitalised in a life-threatening condition. She remains under police guard.
“We are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident,” DI Fox confirmed.
“This is an unimaginable tragedy. Our sympathies go out to the family, friends, and the whole community.”
Police maintain a strong presence locally and urge anyone with information to come forward immediately.
