Horrific Homophobic Attack Rocks Basingstoke Train Station

Just before 11pm on Saturday, a man in his 20s was brutally attacked at Basingstoke’s main railway station. Police say a group targeted him with hate-fuelled abuse as he made his way to a nearby bus stop.

Victim Targeted with Abuse and Violence

The group reportedly hurled homophobic slurs before two members launched a violent assault. The victim suffered serious facial injuries while simply waiting for a bus outside the station.

Two Arrested Over Brutal Assault

Local cops swiftly arrested two men from Basingstoke, aged 19 and 20, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Both remain in custody as investigations continue.
