Hampshire Fire and Rescue from St Mary’s raced to the scene, using specialist cutting gear to free a driver pinned inside their vehicle. Police and paramedics are also on site aiding the emergency effort.
Major Traffic Chaos as Bridge Closes
The bridge is completely closed to traffic. Diversions are in place but huge delays are already reported in the area. Police warn the shutdown could last hours due to an ongoing investigation and vehicle recovery involving a Skoda and a Ford Transit van.
Another Crash Adds to Road Woes
Adding to the misery, another collision involving two vehicles near Hamble Community Sports College on Hamble Lane has left that road blocked, with an ambulance also attending the scene.
