Itchen Bridge Sealed Off After Distressed Driver Spots Person on Railing
Police slammed the brakes on Southampton’s Itchen Bridge tonight. Just after 7pm, officers shut down the bridge after a shaken driver called in, reporting someone perched dangerously on the railing.
Bridge Closed to Traffic and Pedestrians
Blue lights flashed as police boxed in both ends of the bridge, blocking all vehicles and foot traffic. Officers are actively redirecting people away from the scene to keep the area clear and safe.
