Thames Water Impostors Target Elderly Woman in Tottenham

Residents in Haringey and Tottenham are on high alert after an elderly woman narrowly escaped a daring robbery attempt. A gang of men, posing as Thames Water workers, tried to scam their way into her home earlier today.

Fake Water Men Busted by CCTV

The ruse began when a man knocked on the woman’s door, claiming he was from the water company. Once inside, he let three more men slip in. The gang’s plan was clear — rob the property. But they quickly bailed when they spotted other people inside.

The entire episode was caught on CCTV and handed over to the Met Police, who are now investigating.

Warning to Elders: Don’t Let Strangers In

  • Beware of unexpected visitors claiming to be from utility firms.
  • Always ask for identification before opening your door.
  • Contact the company directly to verify any visits.
  • Report suspicious activity to the police immediately.

Stay sharp, Tottenham – don’t let scammers win.
