Woman Rescued from Flat Roof After Domestic Dispute on Isle of Wight

A woman in her 40s was plucked to safety from a flat roof in Lake, Isle of Wight, following a tense domestic incident.

Firefighters Spring into Action

Just before 2pm on Wednesday 22nd August, the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service rushed to Medeway in Lake after an emergency call.

Fire crews used a short extension ladder to help the woman climb out of a window and bring her safely down. The rescue team from Shanklin led her to safety.

Shaken but Unhurt, Police Investigate

The woman was reportedly made to get onto the roof during a domestic row with her partner. Thankfully, she was uninjured but visibly shaken.

Hampshire Constabulary has now taken over the investigation into the incident.
