A suspicious package has triggered chaos in South West London tonight. Police shut down a street around the Burger King on Balham Hill, forcing an emergency evacuation.

At around 7pm on Wednesday, Met officers rushed to the scene after a worried customer tipped off staff. The restaurant was promptly cleared as a precaution.
Specialist Called In to Inspect Package
Staff and customers were ordered out as bomb disposal experts were brought in to check the mysterious parcel. The contents remain under investigation.
