Emergency services rushed to a house fire in Rustington on Tuesday morning. One person was heroically rescued from the blaze.
Fire Breaks Out in Ashwood Drive
West Sussex Fire and Rescue crews were alerted at 10:25am to flames erupting in a property on Ashwood Drive. Firefighters quickly tackled the blaze and managed to save the occupant inside.
Casualty Treated at the Scene
The rescued individual is now receiving medical treatment from paramedics. The South East Coast Ambulance Service took over care at the scene.
Residents Urged to Steer Clear
While the fire service continues safety checks and investigations, residents have been advised to avoid the area. Crews from East Preston, Littlehampton, and Worthing remain on site, though the emergency response is being scaled back.
