A frantic rescue mission is unfolding after a small boat, carrying around 60 migrants, ran aground on the notorious Goodwin Sands in the English Channel, just five miles off the Kent shore.
Lifeboats and Helicopters Rushed to the Scene
The Dover and Walmer lifeboats were quickly launched to aid Border Force teams alerted to the stranded vessel. French rescue boats also joined the hunt, alongside a Coastguard helicopter dispatched to assist in the operation.
