After A Man Was Stabbed In Blackpool, Police Are Looking For Witnesses

At around 4:25 a.m. today (Friday, June 10) police were called to a report of a man found unconscious on Dickson Road in the resort.

When emergency personnel arrived, they discovered a man in his twenties with a suspected stab wound to his chest.

He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment, where he is now in a serious but stable condition.

At this time, no arrests have been made, but an investigation and inquiries are ongoing.

This incident has left a young man very sick in hospital,” said Detective Chief Inspector Lee Wilson of Blackpool CID. “I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around Dickson Road, Springfield Street, or General Road this morning, or who has any information, to come forward and speak to us.”

“I have a team of detectives working on this case, and we are following a number of lines of inquiry to try to identify the offender.”

“I’d like to hear from anyone who has CCTV or a dashcam, as well as any taxi drivers who may have worked in the area overnight.”

In order for us to do our work, we had to close some parts of Blackpool this morning, and I am aware that this may cause some inconvenience to people.” I make no apologies for this, but I appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.
