Blackpool Man Busted in Shocking Child Sex Abuse Trial
Stuart Williams, 57, from Moore Street, Blackpool, has been convicted of 17 chilling child sex offences. A Lancashire jury found him guilty on every count after a tough 12-day trial.
Undercover Cop Sting Nails Williams
Williams thought he could outsmart the law. But while giving evidence, he accidentally confessed to two extra charges for creating indecent images of children. Cops caught him messaging what he believed were young girls — but were actually undercover officers posing as minors online. He was busted three times, even while out on bail.
Dark Past of Abuse Comes to Light
Further probes revealed three reports of historic child sex crimes against Williams. An adult victim also stepped forward, accusing him of sexual assault. Lancashire Police slammed his actions, saying, “Williams repeatedly preyed on vulnerable people, whether they were adults or children.”
Swift Justice — Sentencing Set
The jury took just three hours to reach a unanimous guilty verdict. Williams, who never owned up to his crimes and dragged his victims through a gruelling legal battle, has been remanded in custody. His sentencing is scheduled for 9th February.
“We praise the victims for their bravery. We hope the verdict gives them some justice,” said Lancashire Police.
